*Going GREEN? The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) will turn the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign green as part of a global event celebrating St. Patrick's Day. For the sixth consecutive year, the LVCVA will kick off the festivities Thursday, March 15 with the official greening of the sign and it will remain green through St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, March 17. Many other city landmarks are also taking part in this Global Greening initiative around the globe. Toronto Sun (circ. 111K; UVM 3.4M) - Senior Writer Joanne Richard will travel to the destination with her family April 27 - May 1 to produce a print and online article for the lifestyle section focusing on new and exciting food trends (i.e. vegan) and dining venues, highlighting the multitude of culinary options the city has to offer. The FAM is part of a larger partnership with Red Tag Vacations, one of the leading retail travel agencies in Canada reaching close to 600K subscribers. This partnership includes blog posts by each FAM participant, a roundup editorial on the destination which is distributed nationally across Canada reaching 50K in print, as well as content to be cross promoted through Red Tag's social channels and on their dedicated Las Vegas webpage. This partnership will incentivize travelers and offer a promo code discount on vacation packages to Las Vegas.

The journalists will participate in the 2017 Rock 'n' Roll Marathon activities and cover the destination overall. Business, Meetings and Conventions - The LVCVA and R&R Partners are developing an image asset library for Business, Meetings and Conventions to be used across disciplines including the VegasMeansBusiness.com website, media and digital content usage. We are seeking images from our property and destination partners showcasing Business, Meetings and Convention capabilities.
We would like to receive images that are (at least) 300dpi and depict the following aspects:

  • Tradeshows and Convention spaces
  • Large and Small Meeting spaces
  • Both dressed and non-dressed spaces
  • If images include people, then faces and likeness must not be recognizable unless you have necessary permissions.
